Teenager riding a mountain bike on a dusty trail at golden hour near Whyalla

Whyalla, South Australia

This is not another program.

Eight weeks. One mentor. One student. Real stuff.

Get outdoors. Build something. Learn from someone who's actually done it.

Mountain biking

Activity 1

Coastal walks and fishing

Activity 2

Photography and challenges

Activity 3

No classrooms. No worksheets. Just you, a mentor, and eight weeks of doing real things in the real world. Trailhead isn't about fixing you. It's about finding out what you're actually capable of.

How it works

Eight weeks. Here's how it works.

    01

Your school refers you (or you ask them to).

    02

You meet Neil - no pressure, just a conversation.

    03

Eight Friday sessions, one on one, outdoors.

    04

You finish stronger than you started.

Sessions run on Fridays. Two students per pilot intake.

Neil Higgins, founder and mentor at Trailhead

Your mentor

Your mentor has seen some things.

Neil Higgins is a senior firefighter with 15 years on the job. He's also a youth worker, a basketball coach, and someone who genuinely gives a damn. He's not a counsellor. He's something better - someone who shows up.

Finish the program. Earn something worth talking about.

Students who complete all eight weeks may experience a special adventure through Spencer Gulf Adventures - because finishing matters.
